About The Position

AmeriCare Plus is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to complete initial assessments and supervisory visits for clients receiving personal care services in their homes in Chesapeake and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible, PRN scheduling, with visits planned around the nurse’s availability. It does not involve bedside shifts or hands-on skilled nursing. Nurses help clients—seniors and adults with disabilities—remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home by conducting assessments and providing caregiver guidance. Compensation is per visit: $65 for an initial client assessment, $55 for a six-month reassessment, and $30 for a missed visit when the client is not home. In-service or training classes pay $30, occasional aide clinical orientation pays $20, and office or administrative work pays $20 per hour. An additional $5 per visit is paid for clients located more than 30 miles from the office.

Requirements

Active Virginia RN license or compact license valid in Virginia.
At least one year of nursing experience in a hospital, home health, rehabilitation, or similar setting.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to clients’ homes.
Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities
