Registered Nurse (Chesapeake)
About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is seeking compassionate, experienced Registered Nurses to complete initial assessments and supervisory visits for clients receiving personal care services in their homes in Chesapeake and surrounding areas. This PRN opportunity offers schedule flexibility and pays per visit for assessments, reassessments, missed visits, training, and occasional clinical orientation; office or administrative work is paid hourly. An additional mileage bonus is available for visits to clients located more than 30 miles from the office. The role does not involve bedside shifts or hands-on skilled nursing, and does not require overnight rotations or mandatory weekends.
Requirements
- Active Virginia registered nurse license or a compact license valid in Virginia.
- At least one year of nursing experience in a hospital, home health, rehabilitation, or similar setting.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to clients' homes.
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

- Provide caregiver guidance and help ensure quality care.
- Complete in-service or training classes and occasional aide clinical orientations.
- Perform office or administrative work as needed.
Benefits
- Flexible scheduling; nurses can plan visits around their availability.
- Per-visit compensation: $65 per initial client assessment, $55 per six-month reassessment, $30 for a missed visit when the client is not home, $30 per in-service or training class, and $20 per occasional aide clinical orientation.
- Office or administrative work paid at $20 per hour.
- Additional $5 per visit for clients located more than 30 miles from the office.
- No mandatory weekends, overnight rotations, or 12-hour shifts.
