About The Position

At Goodwill, store employees help turn donated items into new beginnings by supporting job training, education, and employment programs in the community. The Cashier provides customer service at the register, helps keep the sales floor stocked and organized, maintains a clean and safe shopping environment, and supports donation operations. The role starts at $15 per hour and includes annual raises and production bonuses.

Requirements

Positive, dependable team player with strong customer service skills.
No experience required; willingness to learn and grow.
Able to follow instructions, handle physical tasks, and work in a fast-paced retail setting.
Honest, respectful, and aligned with Goodwill’s mission and values.
Open to training and personal development opportunities.
Able to stand, talk, listen, and use hands for most of the work; frequently reach, walk, and pull; and occasionally bend and stoop.
Able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds.
Strong close and color vision.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, efficient register service by ringing sales, handling payments, bagging merchandise, and thanking customers.
Keep the sales floor stocked and organized by moving clothing from the backroom, merchandising by type and color, and keeping racks tidy and rotated.
Maintain a clean, safe shopping environment, including dressing rooms and work areas.
Greet donors, accept donations, and issue receipts.
Support donation door operations and perform sorting and hanger tasks as needed.
Report safety, security, or theft concerns to store management.
Perform other assigned duties to support the team.
