About The Position

The Cashier provides friendly customer service, helps customers locate products and find solutions, and delivers a fast, friendly checkout experience. The role includes cash handling, engaging customers with the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and educating customers about the Voice of Customer survey. Team members also support Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes, truck unloading, stocking, planograms, merchandise recovery, and store maintenance. The position supports shrink and safety programs, follows company policies and procedures, and promotes a positive, respectful environment. Cashiers are cross-trained in Custom Framing sales and production and may perform other duties as assigned.

This is a seasonal, part-time position in a public retail store. Work may include nights, weekends, and early mornings. The store’s public areas are climate controlled, while some stock rooms may not be; some outdoor work may be required when retrieving carts or unloading trucks.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and find solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience and handle cash according to standards.
• Promote the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers about the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS) processes.
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including returns and general store recovery.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Follow standard operating procedures and company programs, policies, and standards.
• Interact with others respectfully, maintain a positive attitude, and model the organization’s vision and values.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
