About The Position

The Retail Cashier is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and embodying the company’s customer experience principles. The role includes accurately processing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, and maintaining an organized, clean, and safe store environment. Associates follow operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position is seasonal and part-time at the HomeGoods store in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers while modeling established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain merchandising standards and follow established merchandising procedures.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
