About The Position

Velocity Vehicle Group is seeking a Cashier to join its team in Whittier, California. The Service Cashier supports a consistently superior customer experience by accurately billing customers, providing updates, collecting payment for vehicle repairs, and helping build lasting customer relationships. The role also assists Service Advisors and performs routine clerical work. The schedule is Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Compensation is $18–$19 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Must pass a post-offer drug test, physical, and background check.

Cashiering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and courteously.
Treat customers fairly and honestly, demonstrating the company’s commitment to customer service and ethical business practices.
Provide updates to customers and notify them when their truck is ready for pickup.
Collect payments from customers for repairs.
Review and process repair orders, ensuring repairs were performed and billed correctly.
Follow the proper customer sign-out procedure.
Print invoices.
Assist Service Advisors with phone calls.
Provide backup support for reconciling credit card charges.
File repair orders and update customer files.
Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
