About The Position

The Cashier is responsible for accurately collecting and reconciling revenue while providing attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality services to guests. The role involves processing guest payments, maintaining accurate records, answering questions, and following established operating procedures. Work is performed primarily outdoors for extended periods, potentially for the entire shift, and may involve exposure to extreme heat and cold. Travel of up to 5% may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting three-digit numbers, multiplying and dividing with tens and hundreds, and performing these operations using American currency.
Ability to read and write standard English; understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems and rates based on elapsed time.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including extended sitting or standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, and more than 10 pounds constantly.
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in conditions that may include extreme heat and cold.

Responsibilities

Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients; greet guests promptly and treat guests and associates with courtesy, respect, and dignity.
Maintain accuracy and composure under pressure, use appropriate greetings, welcome guests, and follow Towne Park phone etiquette.
Assist guests with directions and inquiries, and provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions.
Determine guest charges; process cash, credit, or direct-billing payments; categorize tickets for audit purposes; collect and reconcile revenue; and provide payment receipts.
Complete accurate and timely shift reports, follow cash-bank standard operating procedures, operate registers, gates, and credit card machines, and obtain information about daily events and applicable rates.
Complete tasks promptly as instructed by the Lead Cashier or Account Manager.
