About The Position

The Cashier accurately collects and reconciles revenue while providing guests with attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality services. The role includes greeting guests, answering questions, processing payments, preparing shift reports, following cash-bank procedures, and operating registers, gates, and credit card machines. Work is generally routine and performed according to established procedures and specific directions, with work checked frequently. The position works primarily outdoors for extended periods, potentially for the entire shift, and may involve exposure to extreme heat and cold. Travel of up to 5% may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic math knowledge.
Ability to read and write standard English and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, including using American currency.
Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems and rates applicable to elapsed time.
Ability to talk or hear regularly; sit or stand for extended periods; and potentially run, walk, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Visual abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, and more than 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, coworkers, and clients; greet guests promptly and treat guests and associates with courtesy, respect, and dignity.
Maintain accuracy and composure under pressure, use the appropriate daily salutation, welcome guests, and follow Towne Park phone etiquette.
Assist guests with directions and inquiries, and provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions.
Determine guest charges, process cash, credit, or direct-billing payments, categorize tickets for audit purposes, reconcile revenue, and provide receipts.
Complete accurate and timely shift reports; follow cash-bank procedures; operate registers, gates, and credit card machines; and obtain information about daily events and applicable rates.
Complete tasks promptly as instructed by the Lead Cashier or Account Manager.
