About The Position

Sales Associates help keep the store clean, inviting, safe, and running smoothly while assisting customers and completing sales. The role includes operating the register, handling regulated sales, providing friendly service, stocking merchandise, and maintaining both indoor and outdoor areas. Associates may be asked to cross-train in other departments, including deli, and help wherever needed.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be willing to work hard, remain on their feet for most of the shift, and work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
Friendly demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
Attention to detail.
Punctuality, trustworthiness, and responsibility.
Adaptability and willingness to take on varied tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while following age-verification and legal requirements.
Provide friendly customer service and upsell when possible.
Keep the store's interior and exterior clean and safe, including deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, and removing litter and trash.
Take trash to the dumpster in all weather conditions.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain store entryways.
Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Help coworkers and step in wherever needed.
