About The Position

The Cash Processing Teller performs deposit processing and cash settlement tasks, including inspecting deposit bags, reconciling out-of-balance conditions, identifying suspicious or counterfeit activity, and transferring funds to the appropriate vaults. The role requires compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations, meeting productivity standards, identifying process improvements, and working independently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong data-entry skills and experience.
• Detail-oriented with basic math skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Cash handling and balancing experience.
• 1–2 years of teller experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify assigned work and inspect deposit bags for evidence of tampering.
• Process deposits, including reconciling out-of-balance conditions.
• Comply with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Identify counterfeit currency, suspicious activity (SAR), and potential AML red-flag transactions, and immediately report them to a supervisor.
• Meet or exceed established deposit-processing productivity standards.
• Verify cash settlements and transfer funds to appropriate vaults.
• Identify and share process improvement opportunities.
• Work independently without direct supervision or oversight.
