About The Position

The Cash Office Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate accurately processes customer purchases and returns, counts change, promotes credit and loyalty programs, supports merchandising and merchandise processing, and participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, respect, and constructive feedback, and performs other duties as assigned.

This is a part-time position at the TJ Maxx Store 1243 in Speedway, Indiana. The starting pay range is USD $13.25 to $13.75 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and applying customer experience principles.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment while adhering to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
