The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest, most complex agencies in the state, with approximately 17,000 employees. It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence. This Casework Technician position is located in Granville County/Creedmoor, a satellite office of the Henderson unit office. The primary purpose of the position is to provide casework support to Rehabilitation Counselors and assist with all aspects of office needs. The role requires a wide range of knowledge regarding community resources and local employers, as well as the ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds. The DHHS Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities (EIPD) promotes employment and independence for people with disabilities through customer partnership and community leadership, helping them achieve their goals for competitive employment and more independent living in communities statewide.
