The Caseworker Coordinator is responsible for managing the provision of services to assist Refugee Support Services (RSS) funded clients to ensure every client receives high quality support in line with IRC policies and donor requirements. The caseworker coordinator manages all administrative services for clients, including public benefits, legal support, employment programs, health or mental health care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, required, bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, preferred.
  • At least two years of relevant experience, required; experience in refugee resettlement and the Refugee Support Services (RSS) program, preferred.
  • Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills, required.
  • Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
  • US work authorization required.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate RSS-funded case management programming to ensure the timely, high-quality delivery of services in accordance with IRC policies, donor requirements, and client-centered principles.
  • Assign cases and service tasks based on staff role, caseload capacity, and client need, ensuring continuity and consistency of services.
  • Coordinate client access to follow-up services, including public benefits, legal support, employment programs, SSI, and health or mental health care.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal teams and community organizations to ensure clients have seamless access to the resources they need.
  • Support the development and implementation of new or expanded RSS programming based on donor guidance, funding availability, and emerging client needs.
  • Keep documentation and reporting accurate and up to date, while regularly monitoring program performance and addressing any needs to maintain quality support for clients.
  • Recruit, train, and support program staff, creating a welcoming, inclusive, and trauma-informed workplace where everyone can thrive and collaborate.
  • Represent IRC in community and partner meetings and support broader program goals as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
