About The Position

This is a merit hire, full-time position with Dauphin County Children & Youth Services. The Casework Supervisor is responsible for supervising the provision of casework and case management by a group of professional caseworkers within a public child welfare agency. This role involves overseeing and coordinating the daily activities and scheduling of the team to ensure adequate case and emergency coverage, as well as optimal use of available resources.

Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work
  • A bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences
  • At the time of hire, a valid driver’s license and positive driving record
  • A favorable criminal background check
  • Child abuse and FBI clearances
  • Favorable references
  • Provide proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license within 60 days from the date of hire (an alternative form of identification will be accepted if not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver’s license under 67 PA. Code § 83 and driving is not an essential function of the position)
