About The Position

Summary: Responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the radiology office with responsibilities including, but not limited to, those outlined below. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Resolves issues in a real-time environment; to proactively prevent issues that impact facility or physician satisfaction Demonstrates flexibility and creativity in the operation of the radiology office and interaction among ordering facilities, Radiologists, patients, and employees, while operating department in a fiscally responsible manner. Facilitates and assures top quality communication among patients, doctors, and employees. Maintains deadlines, prioritizes company assignments, and maintains professional composure under pressure and dynamic conditions. Leads conflict resolution and maintains a constructive working relationship with employees at all levels of the organization. Fosters a workplace consistent with the values and vision of the company. Investigates and corrects customer service issues or complaints. Responsible for ensuring orders, images and reports are processed in a timely manner meeting the customer expectations. May be required to backfill for Intake Specialists as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: Develop and maintain an effective department through the training, motivation, and review of Intake personnel. Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving them. Implement departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management. Supervise the intake department to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors, or problems. Review records and reports pertaining to activities such as production, in order to verify details, monitor work activities, and evaluate performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years working in a position in the medical field with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Ability to sit.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision.
