The Jewish Board’s Youth and Family Division supports domestic violence survivors and their family members. Its staff use a non-judgmental, trauma-informed approach to help clients establish and achieve personalized recovery goals, stabilize their families, develop independent living skills, and plan for a healthy and secure future. The work emphasizes safe and stable housing, cultural competence, an anti-racist lens, and respect for each individual’s dignity and journey. The Case Associate functions as a Case Planner, providing case management, advocacy, and supportive services to domestic violence survivors and their families residing at Transition Center. Through a trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and strengths-based approach, the Case Associate engages clients in pursuing their goals, accessing community resources, and addressing barriers to stability. In collaboration with clients, the Clinical Team, community partners, and government agencies, the Case Associate helps clients secure benefits, educational and employment opportunities, and other resources that promote safety, self-sufficiency, and long-term stability. The role involves community and home visits, client support and supervision, crisis intervention, service coordination, documentation, outreach, and facilitation of educational and skill-building groups. The position requires frequent travel throughout New York City and surrounding counties, including visits to scattered-site apartments and other community locations, and flexible hours when needed to meet client and program needs.
