(USA) Carwash/Gas Attendant
About The Position
The Carwash/Gas Attendant supports Sam's Club members and prospective members by explaining membership options, programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card application processes, and by promoting the value of Sam's Club products and services. The attendant provides customer service, assists with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, addresses customer concerns, and helps maintain a safe shopping environment. The role includes cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the car wash and gas station areas; ensuring accurate pricing and signage; handling claims and returns; organizing merchandise and supplies; identifying shrink and damage; and following company procedures to maintain a safe work area. The attendant receives and stocks merchandise and supplies, uses equipment appropriately, and completes required paperwork and logs. The attendant also operates cash registers and related tools to process purchases and operates and maintains gas station and car wash equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewals, credit card programs, and application processes to current and prospective members.
- Assist customers and members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and learning about products and services.
- Maintain a safe shopping environment and a clean, organized car wash and gas station area.
- Ensure accurate pricing and signage in the area of responsibility.
- Handle claims and returns, organize merchandise and supplies, identify shrink and damages, and follow company procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Use equipment appropriately and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
- Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using the appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
- Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Work as part of a team, build trusting relationships, communicate positively, and help develop and mentor others.
- Act with integrity and accountability, support company values, and make decisions using reliable information while considering team and stakeholder needs.
