About The Position

The Carwash/Gas Attendant serves Sam’s Club members and customers at the gas station and car wash. The role explains membership programs, levels, benefits, renewals, and credit card options, and assists customers with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and resolving concerns. The attendant maintains a clean, organized, accurately signed, and safe work area; handles claims and returns; stocks and organizes merchandise and supplies; and completes required paperwork and logs. The position also involves processing purchases with cash registers and related tools, and operating and maintaining gas station and car wash equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures. Associates are expected to demonstrate Walmart’s values by working collaboratively, acting with integrity, serving customers and members, and pursuing continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Explain membership types, programs, benefits, levels, renewals, and credit card programs and application processes to current and prospective members.
• Assist customers and members with purchasing decisions, merchandise location, questions, and concerns, while promoting products and services and maintaining a safe shopping environment.
• Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and maintain accurate pricing and signage.
• Maintain the gas station and car wash area according to company policies, including handling claims and returns, organizing merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damage, and ensuring a safe work environment.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; organize and maintain the facility using company procedures and equipment; complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
• Operate cash registers and related tools to process purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
• Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Build trusting team relationships, communicate positively, and help develop and mentor others.
• Act with integrity, uphold ethical and compliance standards, and support the company’s goal of becoming a regenerative company.
• Serve customers and members, make decisions using reliable information, and consider the impact of work on the team and stakeholders.
