About The Position
The Carwash/Gas Attendant serves Sam’s Club members and customers at the car wash and gas station. The role explains membership options, programs, and benefits; assists with purchasing decisions and merchandise location; resolves customer concerns; and promotes Sam’s Club products and services. The attendant maintains a safe, clean, organized area with accurate pricing and signage, handles claims and returns, stocks and organizes merchandise and supplies, and follows company procedures and documentation requirements. The role also operates cash registers and related equipment to process purchases and operates and maintains gas station and car wash equipment. Associates are expected to uphold the company’s values by working collaboratively, acting with integrity, serving members, and continuously learning and improving.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewal options, and credit card programs to current and prospective members.
- Provide customer and member service, including acknowledging customers, identifying needs, assisting with purchases, locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and promoting products and services.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized car wash and gas station area, including accurate pricing and signage.
- Follow company policies and procedures when handling claims and returns, organizing merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damage, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; organize and maintain the facility, use equipment appropriately, and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
- Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for payment types and items sold.
- Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide related products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
