About The Position

The Carwash/Gas Attendant serves Sam’s Club Members and customers at the gas station and car wash. The role explains membership types, programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card application processes, while promoting Sam’s Club products and services. It provides customer service by identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and maintaining a safe shopping environment.

The attendant cleans and organizes the car wash and gas station areas, maintains accurate pricing and signage, handles claims and returns according to company procedures, organizes merchandise and supplies, and identifies shrink and damages. The role receives and stocks supplies, maintains required paperwork and logs, operates cash registers and related tools to process purchases, and operates and maintains gas station and car wash equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewal options, and credit card programs and application processes to current and prospective Members.
• Promote the value of Sam’s Club products and services.
• Acknowledge customers and Members, identify their needs, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and resolve issues and concerns.
• Maintain a safe shopping and work environment.
• Clean and organize the car wash and gas station areas and maintain accurate pricing and signage.
• Maintain the gas station and car wash areas according to company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, organizing merchandise and supplies, and identifying shrink and damages.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Maintain the facility according to company procedures, use equipment appropriately, and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
• Operate cash registers and related tools to process purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
• Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Build strong, trusting team relationships; communicate positively; and help develop and mentor others.
• Model integrity, ethics, compliance, and company values; hold oneself and others accountable.
