Carwash/Gas Attendant
About The Position
The Carwash/Gas Attendant operates and maintains the Gas Station/Car Wash area and equipment, provides products and services to customers in accordance with company policies and procedures, and processes purchases using cash registers and related tools. The role includes explaining Membership types, programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card application processes; assisting Members with purchasing decisions, merchandise location, and customer service issues; and promoting Sam’s Club products and services. The attendant cleans and organizes the work area, maintains accurate pricing and signage, handles claims and returns, organizes merchandise and supplies, identifies shrink and damage, and helps ensure a safe shopping and work environment. The position also receives and stocks merchandise and supplies, follows facility procedures, uses equipment appropriately, and completes required paperwork, logs, and documentation. Associates are expected to demonstrate the company’s values by respecting individual differences, collaborating and developing trusting relationships, acting with integrity, serving customers and Members, delivering results, and pursuing continuous improvement and learning. The hourly wage range is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable local minimum wage. Additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may apply in specific circumstances, including based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Explain Membership types, programs, benefits, renewal options, and credit card programs and application processes to current and prospective Members.
- Assist customers and Members with purchasing decisions, merchandise location, questions, and issues; promote products and services while maintaining a safe shopping environment.
- Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
- Maintain the Gas Station/Car Wash area according to company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, zoning and organizing merchandise and supplies, and identifying shrink and damage.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; follow facility procedures, use equipment appropriately, and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
- Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
- Operate and maintain Gas Station/Car Wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
