Carwash/Gas Attendant
About The Position
The Carwash/Gas Attendant operates and maintains the Gas Station/Car Wash area and its equipment, and provides products and services to customers in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role supports members and prospective members by explaining membership types, programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card programs, and by promoting Sam’s Club products and services. It also involves assisting customers with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and resolving questions or concerns while maintaining a safe shopping environment. The attendant cleans and organizes the car wash and gas station area, maintains accurate pricing and signage, handles claims and returns, arranges merchandise and supplies, and identifies shrink and damage. The role receives and stocks merchandise and supplies, uses equipment appropriately, maintains required paperwork and logs, and processes customer purchases using cash registers and the appropriate procedures for different payment types. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card programs and application processes to current and prospective members.
- Assist customers and members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and learning about products and services.
- Maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
- Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing and signage are accurate.
- Maintain the Gas Station/Car Wash area in accordance with company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, arranging merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damage, and maintaining safety.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; organize and maintain the facility according to company procedures.
- Use equipment appropriately and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
- Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
- Operate and maintain Gas Station/Car Wash area equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
