Carwash/Gas Attendant
About The Position
The Carwash/Gas Attendant supports Sam’s Club members and customers in the gas station and car wash area. The role explains membership programs and benefits, assists with account decisions and renewals, communicates credit card options, and promotes Sam’s Club products and services. It provides customer service by identifying needs, assisting with purchases, locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and maintaining a safe shopping environment. The attendant cleans and organizes the assigned area, maintains accurate pricing and signage, follows company policies for claims, returns, merchandising, loss prevention, and workplace safety, and receives and stocks merchandise and supplies. The role operates cash registers and related tools to process purchases and operates and maintains gas station and car wash equipment. Associates are also expected to demonstrate Sam’s Club values through teamwork, integrity, service, learning, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Explain membership types, programs, benefits, credit card options, and application processes to current and prospective members; support account decisions and renewals and promote the value of Sam’s Club products and services.
- Provide customer and member service by acknowledging customers, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting products and services.
- Maintain a safe shopping and work environment.
- Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
- Maintain the gas station and car wash area in accordance with company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, zoning, organizing merchandise and supplies, and identifying shrink and damage.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; maintain the facility using company procedures and equipment appropriately.
- Complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
- Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
- Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively, build trusting relationships, communicate positively, and help develop and mentor others.
- Maintain high standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance and act in accordance with Walmart values.
- Make informed decisions that put customers first and consider the impact of work on team results.
