About The Position

The Carwash/Gas Attendant supports Sam’s Club members and customers at the gas station and car wash. The role explains membership programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card options; assists customers with purchases and merchandise; resolves questions and concerns; and promotes products and services while maintaining a safe environment.

The attendant cleans and organizes the car wash and gas station areas, maintains pricing and signage, stocks supplies, and follows company procedures for merchandise, claims, returns, shrink, and documentation. The role also operates cash registers and other area equipment, processes different payment types, and provides gas station and car wash products and services in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Explain membership types, programs, and benefits; support membership decisions and renewals; explain credit card programs and applications; and promote Sam’s Club products and services.
• Acknowledge customers and members, identify their needs, assist with purchasing decisions and locating merchandise, resolve issues, and promote products and services while maintaining a safe shopping environment.
• Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and maintain accurate pricing and signage.
• Maintain the gas station and car wash area according to company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, zoning and organizing merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damage, and ensuring a safe work environment.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; organize and maintain the facility; use equipment appropriately; and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
• Operate cash registers and related tools to process purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
• Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Build trusting team relationships, communicate positively, and help develop and mentor others.
• Act with integrity, follow ethical and compliance standards, and support the company’s goal of becoming a regenerative company.
• Deliver results with customers and members first, make informed decisions, and support continuous improvement and learning.
