Carwash/Gas Attendant
About The Position
The Carwash/Gas Attendant serves Sam’s Club Members and maintains the gas station and car wash area. The role explains Membership options, benefits, renewals, and credit card programs; assists Members with purchases and merchandise; and resolves questions or concerns while promoting products and services. The attendant cleans, organizes, and maintains the area, including pricing signage, merchandise, supplies, equipment, and required records, while following company procedures and maintaining a safe environment. The role also receives and stocks merchandise and supplies and processes purchases using cash registers and related tools. Associates are expected to demonstrate Sam’s Club’s values by respecting individuals, building trusting and collaborative relationships, acting with integrity, serving Members, making informed decisions, and pursuing continuous improvement and learning.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Explain Membership types, programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card programs and application processes to current and prospective Members.
- Acknowledge Members, identify their needs, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, resolve issues, and promote products and services.
- Maintain a safe shopping environment.
- Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
- Maintain the area in accordance with company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, zoning, organizing merchandise and supplies, and identifying shrink and damages.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Use equipment appropriately, merchandise the facility, and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
- Operate cash registers and related tools to process purchases using appropriate procedures for payment types and items sold.
- Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively, build relationships, communicate positively, and help develop and mentor others.
