About The Position
The Carwash/Gas Attendant provides customer and member service in the gas station and car wash area, explains Sam’s Club Membership programs and benefits, and helps customers make purchasing decisions. The role includes maintaining a clean, organized, accurately priced, and safe work area; receiving and stocking merchandise and supplies; operating cash registers and related equipment; and operating and maintaining gas station and car wash equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures. The listed hourly wage range is $16.00 to $24.00, with possible premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable local minimum wage. The primary location is 1725 34th St N, St Petersburg, FL 33713-3601.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Explain Membership types, programs, benefits, renewal options, and credit card programs to current and prospective Members.
- Provide customer and member service by identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
- Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
- Maintain the gas station and car wash area according to company policies, including handling claims and returns, zoning, organizing merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damage, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; organize and maintain the facility according to company procedures.
- Use equipment appropriately, merchandise items, and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
- Operate cash registers and related tools to process purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
- Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services according to company policies and procedures.
- Build respectful, trusting team relationships; communicate effectively; and help develop and mentor others.
- Act with integrity, uphold ethics and compliance, and support the company’s goal of becoming a regenerative company.
- Serve customers and members, make decisions using reliable information, and support continuous improvement and adaptation to new technologies and skills.
