About The Position

The Carwash/Gas Attendant serves Sam’s Club Members and prospective Members by explaining membership types, programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card application processes. The role provides customer service, assists with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, resolves concerns, and promotes products and services while maintaining a safe shopping environment.

The attendant cleans and organizes the car wash and gas station area, maintains accurate pricing signage, handles claims and returns, organizes merchandise and supplies, identifies shrink and damage, and helps ensure a safe work environment. The role receives and stocks merchandise and supplies, follows company procedures, uses equipment appropriately, and completes required paperwork and logs. It also operates cash registers and related tools to process purchases and operates and maintains gas station and car wash equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewal options, and credit card programs and application processes to Members and prospective Members.
• Provide customer service by acknowledging Members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting products and services.
• Maintain a safe shopping environment.
• Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
• Maintain the gas station and car wash area according to company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, organizing merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damage, and promoting workplace safety.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility.
• Organize and maintain the facility by following company procedures, using equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing and retaining required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
• Operate cash registers and related tools to process purchases according to procedures for different payment types and items sold.
• Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Build strong team relationships, communicate with impact and positivity, and help develop and mentor others.
• Act with integrity and accountability, support company values, and contribute to positive outcomes for associates, customers, Members, and the broader community.
