About The Position

The Carwash/Gas Attendant communicates membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members, assisting with account decisions, membership levels, renewals, and credit card applications while promoting Sam’s Club products and services. The attendant provides customer service by identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and maintaining a safe shopping environment.

The role involves cleaning and organizing the car wash and gas station areas, maintaining accurate pricing and signage, handling claims and returns, organizing merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damage, and maintaining a safe work environment. The attendant receives and stocks supplies, follows company procedures, uses equipment appropriately, and completes required paperwork and logs.

The attendant operates cash registers and related tools to process purchases and operates and maintains gas station and car wash equipment. The role also calls for demonstrating Sam’s Club values through teamwork, integrity, customer focus, continuous improvement, and support for coworkers and members.

Responsibilities

• Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewal options, and credit card programs to current and prospective members.
• Promote the value of Sam’s Club products and services.
• Acknowledge customers and members, identify their needs, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and resolve issues and concerns.
• Maintain a safe shopping environment and provide customer service in the gas station and car wash areas.
• Clean and organize the car wash and gas station areas and maintain accurate pricing and signage.
• Handle claims and returns, arrange and organize merchandise and supplies, identify shrink and damage, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Follow company procedures, use equipment appropriately, and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
• Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using the appropriate procedures for payment types and items sold.
• Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
