About The Position
The Carwash/Gas Attendant operates and maintains the gas station and car wash area, provides products and services to customers in accordance with company policies and procedures, and helps ensure a safe and organized environment. The role includes explaining membership types, programs, benefits, renewal options, and credit card application processes to current and prospective members. It also involves assisting customers with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and promoting Sam’s Club products and services. The attendant cleans and organizes the car wash and gas station area, maintains accurate pricing and signage, handles claims and returns, arranges merchandise and supplies, identifies shrink and damage, and completes required paperwork and logs. The role receives and stocks merchandise and supplies, uses equipment appropriately, and operates cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases and different payment types. Associates are expected to demonstrate respect for individuals, integrity, customer service, and a commitment to excellence. This includes building trusting team relationships, communicating positively, helping develop others, acting honestly and accountably, making informed decisions, learning new skills, and supporting continuous improvement. The position offers an hourly wage range of $19.00 to $27.00, with possible additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location.

Responsibilities
- Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewal options, and credit card programs and application processes to current and prospective members.
- Assist customers and members by identifying needs, supporting purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
- Maintain a safe shopping and work environment.
- Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
- Maintain the gas station and car wash area according to company policies, including handling claims and returns, zoning, organizing merchandise and supplies, and identifying shrink and damage.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; organize and maintain the facility according to company procedures.
- Use equipment appropriately and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
- Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
- Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Build trusting team relationships, communicate positively, and help develop and mentor others.
