About The Position
Meijer is seeking an entry-level Courtesy Team Member to support store services and customer service. The role involves retrieving shopping carts, maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the store, assisting with returns, and working with several store areas. Courtesy Team Members interact with customers and are expected to provide service that goes above and beyond. Other duties may be assigned or required.
Requirements
- Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
- Strong listening and communication skills.
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product or using equipment.
- Able to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
- Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
- Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
- Handle perishable and salvage returns.
- Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
- Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
- Work with departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
