About The Position
As an entry-level team member, the Cart Pusher works as part of Meijer’s Courtesy Team, providing customer service and support across a variety of store tasks. The role includes retrieving shopping carts, maintaining the parking lot and store areas, and assisting with returns and cleaning. Team members may also work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, parking lot, and several store departments. Other duties may be assigned or required.
Requirements
- Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
- Great listening and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
- Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
- Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
- Handle perishable and salvage returns.
- Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
- Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
- Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
