About The Position
As an entry-level team member at Meijer, the Cart Pusher works on the Courtesy Team and performs retail tasks related to store services, products, and customer service. The role involves interacting with customers and providing above-and-beyond service while supporting store operations. Duties may include other tasks as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Be highly organized and have a keen sense for details.
- Have strong listening and communication skills.
- Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
- Be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
- Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
- Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
- Handle perishable and salvage returns.
- Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
- Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
- Work with departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
