About The Position
As an entry-level team member, the Cart Pusher works as part of Meijer’s Courtesy Team, providing customer service and supporting a variety of retail tasks and additional store services. The role involves returning shopping carts to the store, maintaining cleanliness in the parking lot and store, assisting with snow removal, and working with several store areas and departments. Other duties may be assigned or required.
Requirements
- Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
- Strong listening and communication skills.
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using various equipment.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
- Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
- Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
- Handle perishable and salvage returns.
- Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
- Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
- Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
