About The Position
As an entry-level Meijer team member, the Cart Attendant performs a variety of retail tasks related to store services, products, and customer service. Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and providing above-and-beyond customer service. The job profile is not all-inclusive; the employee may perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
- Strong listening and communication skills.
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
- Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
- Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
- Handle perishable and salvage returns.
- Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
- Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
- Work with the Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
