About The Position

As an entry-level member of Meijer’s Courtesy Team, the Cart Attendant performs retail tasks connected to store services, products, and customer service. The role involves interacting with customers and providing above-and-beyond service while supporting the store, its departments, and surrounding areas. The job profile is not all-inclusive, and the employee may perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
Strong listening and communication skills.
Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with the Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
