About The Position

Circle Logistics is hiring a Carrier Sourcing Representative to source and develop carrier capacity, negotiate freight rates, and help ensure reliable freight movement. The role is suited to someone who builds strong relationships, negotiates effectively, manages carrier pipelines, and balances service quality with profitability. The representative uses data and market knowledge to make informed decisions, collaborates with internal teams on pricing and account implementation, and works to meet department goals.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Carrier Sourcing or Carrier Procurement experience in a freight brokerage (required).
• Strong negotiation skills, with urgency, creativity, and confidence.
• Ability to build trust quickly with carriers and solve problems decisively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Organized, detail-focused, and able to perform under pressure.
• Professional, ethical, and customer-minded approach.
• Ability to balance speed with profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop a business strategy for building a pipeline of qualified partner carriers.
• Source carriers based on Account Management needs, with the expectation of developing contracted capacity.
• Review pipeline capacity to identify opportunities for growth.
• Provide and negotiate freight rates with carriers to improve margins.
• Manage the carrier pipeline to maintain accurate service levels.
• Use data-driven resources to make informed decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams on pricing strategies and account implementation plans.
• Resolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism.
• Actively procure new carriers based on volume and lane density.
• Maintain market knowledge of shipping lanes, geography, and seasonality.
• Meet and exceed KPIs and goals set by department leadership.
• Review and verify TMS profiles for data integrity for existing and new carriers.
• Support other departments as necessary by utilizing the carrier pipeline.
