About The Position

The Carrier Relations Manager at CloudCom is responsible for building and managing strategic relationships with Tier-1 and Tier-2 Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) across multiple regions. This role serves as the primary point of contact between CloudCom and operator teams, covering technical, commercial, legal, and security aspects. A key focus is leading operator onboarding for Open Gateway and Network API enablement. The manager will drive the adoption and commercialization of Network APIs, including Number Verification, SIM Swap Detection, KYC & Identity APIs, Device Status & Line Status, and Silent Authentication. This involves defining commercial models (such as revenue share, per-transaction, and success-based pricing) and supporting go-to-market strategies for both operators and enterprise customers. The position also entails working closely with GSMA Open Gateway and CAMARA standards to ensure operator implementations align with API specifications, and representing CloudCom in industry forums and workshops. Internal collaboration with Product, Engineering, Security, and Legal teams is crucial for translating operator network capabilities into developer-ready APIs and supporting roadmap planning based on operator readiness and market demand. Additionally, the role provides operational and regulatory support to operators, assisting with security, compliance, API SLAs, regulatory considerations (KYC, privacy, consent), and supporting pilots, proofs of concept, and commercial launches. The ideal candidate is characterized by a strong telco network understanding with a business-first mindset, comfort in navigating complex operator environments, a passion for transforming network capabilities into digital products, and the ability to operate independently and influence across organizations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administrative or any other related feild
10+ years of experience in carrier relations, telecom partnerships, or wholesale telecom
Solid understanding of Mobile Network Operator environments
Hands-on exposure to Network APIs, CPaaS, or telco digital platforms
Knowledge of GSMA Open Gateway and CAMARA APIs (or strong willingness to learn)
Ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Experience working with global operators and cross-regional teams

Nice To Haves

Experience with Identity & Authentication APIs
Experience with Telco security standards (OAuth2, OIDC, CIBA)
Experience with Network Exposure concepts (NEF, network slicing, identity APIs)
Background in CPaaS, fintech, or digital identity solutions
Previous involvement in operator API monetization initiatives

Responsibilities
