About The Position
West Shore Home is a technology-driven home improvement company specializing in bathroom, flooring, window, and door remodels, with more than 40 locations and over 3,000 employees. The Carpenter Trainee assists with safe and effective installations while following company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment protocols, and provides customers with a five-star experience. The role starts at the warehouse at 6:30 AM, where the trainee loads materials and trucks before traveling to customers’ homes. Work includes removing existing baths or showers, installing new tubs or shower pans and wall surrounds, and updating plumbing when needed. The trainee cleans up thoroughly, completes paperwork and collects payment, then returns to the warehouse. The position offers paid training and an approximate hourly pay range of $17–$20. Final compensation may vary based on background, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. Employees are subject to pre-employment background checks and drug screening. Requirements
- Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, or construction, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- A valid smartphone or smart device to access company-required systems using two-factor authentication.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at the warehouse by 6:30 AM to load materials and trucks.
- Travel to customers’ homes, greet customers, and establish rapport.
- Assist with demolition of existing baths or showers and installation of new tubs or shower pans and wall surrounds.
- Update plumbing when needed.
- Clean up thoroughly and take care of the customer’s home.
- Collect paperwork and payment, then return to the warehouse.
- Perform installations safely while following company standard operating procedures and PPE protocols and providing a five-star customer experience.
