About The Position

The Carousel Busser/Food Runner position is responsible for performing essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and involves clearing and resetting tables, refilling water glasses, delivering complimentary snacks, and delivering food trays. The position also requires adherence to organizational values, policies, and procedures, as well as adaptability to changes in the work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates of the hotel
• Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Must possess a valid Louisiana’s Responsible Vendor Permit or the ability to attend a class and pass the test with a score of 90% or better
• The individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• While performing the duties of this position, the individual is regularly required to talk or hear
• The individual is frequently required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
• The individual is occasionally required to walk
• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• At least one (1) year of customer service experience

Nice To Haves

• Previous restaurant and or bar experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables by sanitizing tables and cleaning seats
• Add fresh place setting
• Fill and refill water glasses and deliver complimentary snacks
• Deliver trays of food to table
• Must be available to work a flexible shift to include weekend and holiday scheduling
• Other duties as assigned
