Carhop/ Skating Carhop (server)
About The Position
The Carhop serves products to guests and provides friendly, quick, and polite service. The role checks products against operational, quality, and appearance standards before delivery; responds promptly to guest requests; reports customer complaints and issues to the Manager on Duty (MOD); assists with payment; and makes change accurately and efficiently. Carhops clear trays and trash from vehicles, the patio, drive-thru, and parking lot, and perform regular cleaning and sanitation duties. Skating Carhops complete the required training and perform duties while wearing roller skates. The position requires regular attendance and compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards. Work hours are irregular and include nights, weekends, and holidays. The restaurant work environment involves continuous standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, lifting, and, for Skating Carhops, skating. Employees are frequently exposed to heat and hot liquid shortening while cooking and to freezers while stocking food items, and may occasionally encounter extreme temperatures due to variable weather conditions.
Requirements
- General restaurant or retail knowledge.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Customer service and multitasking skills.
- Ability to carry and balance trays weighing up to 25 pounds and move and stock food products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Regular attendance.
- For Skating Carhops, ability to perform duties while on roller skates after completing required training.
Responsibilities
- Ensure products meet operational, quality, and appearance standards before delivery to guests.
- Deliver products to guests while carrying and balancing trays weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Provide friendly, quick, and polite service to guests and promptly respond to requests.
- Report customer complaints and issues to the Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Assist guests with payment and make change quickly and accurately.
- Clear trays and trash from guests’ vehicles, the patio, drive-thru, and parking lot.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitation, including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Report employee complaints and issues to the MOD.
- Move and stock food products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- For Skating Carhops, complete required skating training and perform duties while on roller skates.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required.
