Carhop/ Skating Carhop (server)
About The Position
The Carhop serves products to guests, ensuring that items meet operational, quality, and appearance standards before delivery. The role provides friendly, quick, and polite service, responds to guest requests, assists with payment, and reports customer complaints or issues to the Manager on Duty (MOD). It also includes cleaning and sanitation duties, maintaining regular attendance, and following company policies and operational standards. Additional duties include reporting employee issues to the MOD and moving and stocking food products weighing up to 50 pounds. Skating Carhops must complete the required training and perform duties while wearing roller skates. Hours are irregular and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- General restaurant or retail knowledge.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Customer service and multitasking skills.
- Ability to carry and balance a tray weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to move and stock food products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- For Skating Carhops, ability to perform duties while on roller skates after completing the required training.
Responsibilities
- Check products against operational, quality, and appearance standards before delivering them to guests.
- Deliver products while carrying and balancing a tray weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Provide friendly, quick, and polite service and promptly respond to guest requests.
- Report customer complaints and issues to the Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Assist guests with payment and make change accurately and efficiently.
- Clear trays and trash from guests’ vehicles, the patio, drive-thru, and parking lot.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitation, including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Report employee complaints and issues to the MOD.
- Move and stock food products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- For Skating Carhops, complete Skating Carhop training requirements and perform duties while on roller skates.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required.
