Carhop/ Skating Carhop (server)
About The Position
The Carhop serves products to guests, ensuring they meet operational, quality, and appearance standards before delivery. The role provides friendly, quick, and polite service, responds to guest requests, reports customer complaints or issues to the Manager on Duty (MOD), assists with payment, and makes change accurately. It also includes clearing trays and trash from guest vehicles, the patio, drive-thru, and parking lot; following company policies and operational standards; completing regular cleaning and sanitation duties; and maintaining regular attendance. Additional duties may include reporting employee complaints or issues to the MOD and moving and stocking food products weighing up to 50 pounds. A Skating Carhop must complete the required training and perform duties while wearing roller skates. Other job-related duties may be assigned or required. The position has irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- General restaurant or retail knowledge.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Customer service and multitasking skills.
- Ability to carry and balance a tray weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to move and stock food products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- For Skating Carhops, ability to perform duties while on roller skates after completing required training.
Responsibilities
- Ensure products meet operational, quality, and appearance standards before delivery to guests.
- Deliver products to guests while carrying and balancing a tray weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Provide friendly, quick, and polite service to guests.
- Promptly respond to guest requests.
- Report customer complaints or issues to the Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Assist guests with payment and make accurate change quickly and efficiently.
- Clear trays and trash from guest vehicles, the patio, drive-thru, and parking lot.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitation, including disposing of trash, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Report employee complaints or issues to the MOD.
- Move and stock food products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- For Skating Carhops, complete training requirements and perform duties while on roller skates.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required.
