Cargo Technician
About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Cargo Technician to stage outgoing equipment orders for truck loading as directed by dispatch. The role supports drivers and customers with equipment loading, unloading, and refueling, helps organize returned equipment and the yard, and prepares customer pickups and return tickets. The position may also involve other tasks directed by the PCM. The work requires time-management and organizational skills, the ability to work unusual and sometimes long hours, and physical activity including lifting, bending, squatting, stooping, reaching, crouching, and kneeling. Work may take place indoors or outdoors as required by the job.
Requirements
- Demonstrate adequate time-management and organizational skills.
- Be able to work unusual and sometimes long hours.
- Be able to lift up to 60 pounds and bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch, and kneel.
Responsibilities
- Stage outgoing equipment orders for truck loading as directed by dispatch.
- Assist drivers with unloading and loading equipment.
- Assist drivers with equipment refueling.
- Ensure the returned equipment area is organized.
- Assist in staging customer pickups.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment.
- Properly fill out customer return tickets.
- Help maintain a neat and organized yard space.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the PCM.
