About The Position

The CareIQ Billing Specialist completes invoicing processes for CareIQ Ancillary Healthcare services. Using proprietary systems and training, the specialist reviews vendor and provider bills, determines appointment types, and generates vendor payments and customer invoices. The role emphasizes accuracy and urgency to meet contracted service-level expectations. This is a remote role. To support continuity of business with the management team, candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central time zones.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Prior work experience in a detail-oriented customer service environment.
Effective multitasking skills in a high-volume, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet designated deadlines.
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude, including the ability to use Microsoft Office and proprietary systems.
Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during complex telephone conversations.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Must reside in the Eastern or Central time zone.

Responsibilities

Provide professional inbound and outbound telephone customer service to assist customers and vendors with billing questions.
Complete accurate data review and entry.
Learn and maintain knowledge of corporate proprietary systems.
Review medical notes and bills administratively; bill review or coding experience is not necessary.
Determine whether payment and charge rates align with appointment types and contracted amounts.
Research bill history and use problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to resolve customer questions.
Meet departmental production and quality performance expectations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
