About The Position

The Caregiver is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position reporting to the Health & Wellness Director. The role assists residents with daily living needs as described in their care plans, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities. Shifts are 7 a.m.–3 p.m., 3 p.m.–11 p.m., or 11 p.m.–7 a.m., Monday through Friday, including every other weekend. Compensation is $21.00–$22.00 per hour.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA).
Ability to perform the listed physical activities, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and participate in intermittent lifting and supporting of residents, using proper body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience working with the elderly population.
Dementia experience.

Responsibilities

Provide resident care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as outlined in each resident’s care plan.
Maintain residents’ safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality.
Escort residents to meals and activities.
Ensure assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts.
Document all services provided to assigned residents during the shift.
Immediately report any change in a resident’s condition to a supervisor.
Assist residents with daily living needs, including food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities, as indicated in their care plans.
