About The Position

The Caregiver (CNA/CHHA) assists residents with daily living needs according to their care plans, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities. This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position reporting to the Health & Wellness Director. The schedule includes shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Compensation is $21.00–$22.00 per hour. Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aid (CHHA).
Ability to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, sitting, using fine and gross motor skills, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds; intermittent lifting and supporting of residents is required, using proper body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience working with the elderly population.
Dementia experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide resident care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as outlined in each resident’s care plan.
Maintain residents’ safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality.
Escort residents to meals and activities.
Ensure assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts.
Document all services provided to assigned residents during the shift.
Immediately report any change in a resident’s condition to a supervisor.
