About The Position

The Caregiver is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position reporting to the Health & Wellness Director. The role assists residents with aspects of daily living according to their care plans, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities. The schedule is 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Compensation is listed as $21 per hour, with the posting also stating up to $21 hourly.

Requirements

• Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aid (CHHA).
• Ability to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and intermittently lift and support residents, using proper body mechanics.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and experience working with the elderly population; dementia experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as outlined in each resident’s care plan.
• Maintain residents’ safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Escort residents to meals and activities.
• Ensure assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts.
• Document all services provided to assigned residents during the shift.
• Immediately report any change in a resident’s condition to a supervisor.
