About The Position
The Caregiver supports individuals in a residential program as they pursue personal and developmental goals. The role involves building trusting relationships and serving as a mentor, advocate, and friend while helping people participate in their communities and activities they enjoy. Caregivers assist with daily living, including meal preparation, medication administration, personal care, and outings. Sevita provides paid training, and no prior experience is required. This is a full-time, onsite position on the evening shift.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license held for at least one year without restrictions.
- Clean driving record.
- Personal vehicle for on-the-job use with valid insurance.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Successful clearance of background checks.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in reaching personal and developmental goals, including budgeting and nutrition.
- Build trusting relationships while serving as a mentor, advocate, and friend.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, personal care, and outings.
- Help individuals engage with their communities and participate in activities and events they enjoy.
- Take initiative and contribute ideas and dedication to the role.
