Caregiver for Adult Day Program
About The Position
The Caregiver supports adults in an adult day program, helping participants grow, learn, live well, and take part in their communities. The role involves building meaningful relationships, supporting participants’ developmental goals—including budgeting, exercise, and nutrition—and encouraging them to enjoy their favorite activities. Caregivers also assist with personal hygiene and support individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex needs. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is part-time, with a schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license held for at least one year after obtaining a permit.
- Clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
- Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
- Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
