About The Position

TheKey is hiring experienced caregivers to provide one-to-one, private-pay in-home care for aging adults. Caregivers support clients in their homes with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. The role offers flexible scheduling, full-time and part-time availability, and pay starting at $20 per hour, with top rates of $23 per hour. A sign-on bonus program offers up to $750. Qualified caregivers may often begin work within 3–5 days after orientation.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• HCA registration with the State of California, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help candidates obtain registration upon hire.
• Valid driver's license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
• TB clearance or chest X-ray.
• Must comply with state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
• Applicants must satisfy California fingerprint identification requirements; a conditional offer will be rescinded for a non-exemptible crime, subject to applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
• Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
• Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and shop for groceries.
• Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
